Delivery & Collection Policy

PLEASE READ ALL DELIVERY & COLLECTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE BOOKING.

BY PURCHASING FROM THE BOARD CATERING COMPANY S.L. YOU THEREBY AGREE TO OUR DELIVERY TERMS & CONDITIONS BELOW.

We cannot ship our Grazing Boxes, Small Grazing Boards, Standard Grazing Boards or Large Grazing Boards across Spain our outside of the country.

Our grazing boards and boxes are made fresh on the day and are not suitable for overnight courier delivery. They are extremely delicate and must to be hand-delivered on the day (or collected from our kitchen!)

When placing your order online, you must select a 1-hour collection window (e.g., 11:00–12:00).

Your order will be prepared and ready only during the selected time slot, unless you have been notified otherwise. Orders will not be prepared early for collection outside of the chosen window.

You must collect your order within your selected 1-hour period. Although weekday hours may show broader availability (e.g., 10:00-19:00), collections are strictly organised according to scheduled time slots. We operate as a boutique production kitchen and coordinate staffing and event logistics around confirmed collections and deliveries.

We cannot guarantee staff presence outside your selected time, particularly if you arrive late or early, as our team may be off-site managing events. Refunds will not be issued if you miss your collection window and we are unable to accommodate a delayed pickup. It is the client’s responsibility to be on time.

Saturdays:
It is especially important that Saturday collections take place within the selected time slot and before 12:00pm, as we close at 12:00pm and remain closed until Tuesday morning.

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot guarantee product quality beyond this time. If a collection is missed, no refund will be issued.

Even if you notify us that you will be late, we cannot guarantee staff presence outside your confirmed time slot, although we will do our best within reason. It is essential that you arrive on time.

Our boards are designed to travel safely by car or in our provided carrier bags. However, they must:

  • Remain flat at all times

  • Not be shaken, tilted, or stacked

  • Not be transported by bicycle, motorcycle, scooter, or other unstable methods

Once your order has been collected, responsibility transfers to you.

The Board Catering Company S.L. is not liable for product condition after collection. Refunds will not be issued for orders that have been collected and subsequently damaged due to improper handling or transport not in accordance with the guidance above.

Due to the delicate nature of our products, made fresh on the day, careful hand delivery is the only viable means to provide a delivery service. We use trusted third-party courier services to complete our deliveries.

For orders that require our professional set-up services, the order will be hand delivered by a member of our team in charge of fulfilling the professional set-up and display. Please contact us if you wish to discuss delivery options.

We offer delivery throughout Catalunya for an additional service fee, calculated based on distance and charged by our trusted third-party courier service.

We regularly deliver to locations such as Sant Cugat, Badalona, Alella, Castelldefels, and surrounding areas. These delivery options are not available online but can be added to your order as an additional charge.

If you require delivery outside the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, please email us with the delivery address and preferred date, and we will provide a personalised delivery quote.

When purchasing online, you may select:

  • AM Delivery (10:00–14:00)
  • PM Delivery (15:00–19:00)

Important notes:

  • Delivery is available on Tuesdays only from 15:00-19:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00-12:00.

These are delivery windows, not fixed times. If you select “Basic AM” or “Basic PM” delivery, a specific arrival time within that window cannot be guaranteed.

If you require a guaranteed 1-hour delivery slot, you must select “Specific Delivery Time” at checkout and pay the additional fee. This service uses a dedicated courier arrangement.

We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, road closures, diversions, strikes, manifestaciones, natural disasters, or other Force Majeure events. By placing and paying for your order, you agree to our Terms & Conditions.

In the event of a delivery delay due to Force Majeure, a refund will not be issued.

During exceptionally busy periods, deliveries may arrive toward the end of the selected window.

Delivery fees start at 15€ for online orders within the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. Final pricing may vary depending on distance from our Sarrià–Sant Gervasi location and the size of your order (particularly for deliveries requiring more than two large boxes).
The base price for online orders is calculated at checkout, based on your zip code and order size.

Outside of Barcelona, the delivery cost is calculated on a case-by-case basis, based on the fees provided by our third-party delivery service.

If set-up services are required by our team, we will charge the base delivery fee required (based on order size) + the distance from our kitchen at a rate of 1.75€/km, round trip.

We strive to be as transparent as possible; all delivery prices are available on our website in the Terms & Conditions page or at checkout. Alternatively, you can enquire about delivery prices via email or WhatsApp. A team member will be happy to assist you.

Someone must be present at the delivery address during the selected delivery window to receive the order.

Our products are fresh, delicate, and require refrigeration. The recipient must be available to accept the delivery promptly to ensure proper storage.

If the order is being delivered to a third party (e.g., office, venue, or gift recipient), you must provide the direct contact number of the person physically present at the address at the time of delivery.

The recipient must be notified by the person purchasing the order, in advance, that they will be receiving a perishable product.

Upon delivery, responsibility transfers to the recipient. It is the recipient’s responsibility to store all products safely and in accordance with food health and safety standards.

It is the recipient’s responsibility to carefully follow the instructions provided on the “How to Care For Your Board” card.

The Board Catering Company S.L. is not liable for product condition once delivery has been completed.

Delivery will be attempted during the selected window. Maximum waiting time: 5 minutes.

If we can contact the recipient in time, the order may be left with a neighbour in an agreed safe location where it can be stored properly.

Once delivered and notification has been provided, responsibility transfers to the recipient. The Board Catering Company SL is not responsible for product condition after confirmed delivery.

If the recipient cannot be reached during the delivery window, the courier may – if feasible and in a timely manner to maintain food safety standards – attempt to return the order to our shop. This return is not guaranteed.

If the order is successfully returned, the courier charges The Board Catering Company S.L. double delivery fees.

 

In this case, the client must either:

  • Collect the order from our shop the same day (by appointment only and within opening hours), or the following day by prior arrangement, or

  • Arrange and pay for a second delivery (delivery fee + €15, depending on postal code, plus a €5 administrative fee).

Due to the perishable nature of our products, quality cannot be guaranteed after a failed delivery attempt or delayed refrigeration.

Refunds are not issued where delivery cannot be completed due to recipient unavailability.

 

Saturdays:

On Saturdays, our team leaves once the final scheduled collection and delivery have been completed. As a result, if a delivery attempt fails, the courier cannot return the order to our shop, as we will already be closed.

For this reason, it is imperative that you provide the direct contact number of the person receiving the delivery, as well as a backup delivery option (such as a neighbour, concierge, or secure alternative address) in case the recipient is unavailable.

Especially on Saturdays, orders that cannot be delivered cannot be returned to the shop, cannot be collected later, and will not be refunded. If no valid backup delivery option is provided and the delivery cannot be completed, the order will be considered forfeited and no refund will be issued.

What if my purchase is a gift?

Our delivery policies still apply.

We will reach out to the recipient via WhatsApp, email, SMS, or phone call one to two days before the scheduled delivery. This is to confirm the delivery address and ensure someone will be present to receive the gift.

While we never disclose the contents of the gift, we do require the recipient to confirm the address and availability. Once confirmation is received and a delivery time is agreed upon, we will arrange delivery through our trusted third-party service.

Delivery will not be scheduled until we have confirmation that someone will, in fact, be in to receive the gift.
