1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to THE BOARD CATERING COMPANY S.L. Our terms and conditions govern your use of our services and products. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms and conditions as well as our delivery and collection policy.


2. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION POLICY

DELIVERY OPTIONS

We provide delivery services via a trusted 3rd-party provider within the Barcelona Metropolitan City, from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Standard Delivery:

  • AM: Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • PM: Tuesday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Saturdays based on availability (see calendar when purchasing online, or enquire via email or telephone)

Specific Time Delivery:

  • Delivery at a specific time for an additional charge. Specify in order notes for a one-hour slot (e.g. 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM).

Out-of-hours Delivery:

  • Available on request for exceptional circumstances.

Out-of-Barcelona Delivery:

  • Available on request for exceptional circumstances.

Delivery Charges:

  • Standard Delivery: €15,00
  • Specific Time Delivery: €45,00
  • Out-of-hours Delivery:
    • Standard: €45,00
    • Specific Time: €90,00
  • Out-of-Barcelona Delivery:
    • Standard: €15,00 + €1,18 per KM
    • Specific Time: €45,00 + €1,18 per KM

Gift Deliveries:

  • Provide recipient’s contact details.
  • Ensure recipient availability at the time of delivery.

Event Deliveries:

  • Provide contact details for the person receiving the delivery.

Deliveries with Additional Services:

  • Our team will be on site for a specified period as per the order confirmation and invoice.
  • Additional time due to unforeseen delays will be billed separately.

Handling Perishable Goods:

  • Timely Delivery: Someone must be present during the delivery timeframe. Our service will wait a maximum of 10 minutes.
  • Missed Delivery: Products will be returned to our kitchen, refrigerated, and available for collection within 24 hours. After 24 hours, products will be destroyed.
  • Re-delivery Fees: Requesting a new delivery incurs additional charges.
  • Responsibility: We are not liable for agreements made with our 3rd-party courier to leave orders in a safe place.


COLLECTION OPTIONS

There is no charge for collection.

Collection Availability:

  • Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00-19:00, by appointment only
  • Collection from 9:00AM is possible but not guaranteed (no surcharge)
  • Closed on Sundays & Mondays
  • Collection outside of business hours is possible but not guaranteed (surcharge applies). Contact us directly to see if we can accommodate your collection needs.


3. ORDER CONFIRMATION POLICY

Order Process: Orders can be placed through our website, Instagram, via phone, WhatsApp, or email. Please ensure all details are correct and agreed upon before confirming your order.

Order Confirmation: A confirmed order means that THE BOARD CATERING COMPANY S.L. commits to providing you with its services and products, and you commit to paying for the services and products in full.

There are four ways to confirm orders with THE BOARD CATERING COMPANY S.L.:

  1. Payment received in full via credit/debit card or bank transfer.
  2. Accepted quote via our quote-issuing software Holded.
  3. 50% upfront payment for orders made at least two months in advance or on orders greater than €500,00. Final payment due two weeks before event date.
  4. Issued invoice with alternative payment arrangements.

Unfulfilled Orders: If we cannot fulfill an order, you will be notified and offered an alternative or full reimbursement.


4. RETURN POLICY AND REFUND PROCESS

Returns of perishable goods are not accepted. Notify us within 30 minutes of delivery or collection for any issues.

Refunds for incorrect or faulty products processed after verification.


5. CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES AND REFUNDS

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations via email at least two months before the delivery/collection date for a full refund, we retain the right to withhold €10,00 (admin fee).
  • Cancellations with less than two months but at least 14 days’ notice considered case-by-case for a full refund, we retain the right to withhold €60,00 (admin fee plus date reservation penalty).
  • Cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice considered but not guaranteed due to the perishable nature of our products. In the case that a refund is approved, we retain the right to withhold €110,00 (admin fee plus date reservation penalty).
  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice not considered.

Changes Policy:

  • Changes permitted up to 7 days before the delivery/collection date, considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to written approval.
  • Reducing your order follows the Cancellation Policy.
  • Increasing your order follows the Order Confirmation policy.

6. PAYMENT TERMS
  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via debit/credit card or bank transfer with proof of transfer.
  • Upfront Payment: Upfront payment in full is required to confirm your order. Alternative arrangements may be agreed upon in exceptional circumstances.
  • Additional Costs: Additional costs like waiting fees or specific delivery times will be communicated and billed separately.

7. SPECIAL SERVICES

We offer additional services upon request:

  • Box-Opening Service: Our team will accompany the delivery, open boxes, set out products on a table you provide, and up to 30 minutes on-site time (unless otherwise stated in order confirmation and invoice).
  • Decorations: Includes box-opening, product setup on a table you provide, floral decorations, and up to 60 minutes on-site time (unless otherwise stated in order confirmation and invoice).
  • Premium Decorations: Includes box-opening, product setup on a table you provide, premium floral, and up to 90 minutes on-site time (unless otherwise stated in order confirmation and invoice).

Waiting Fees: Additional on-site time due outside of our control is billed at €36.00 per hour, per team member, in 30-minute increments.

Customer Delays: Delays are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us immediately at +34 747 433 146.


8. ALLERGENS AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Notify us of any allergies or dietary needs before confirming your order. Due to cross-contamination risks we cannot guarantee products are completely free of traces of the main 16 allergens listed below:

Celery, Cereals containing gluten (including wheat, rye, barley and oats), Crustaceans, Eggs, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Tree nuts (including almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts), Peanuts, Sesame seeds, Soybeans, Sulphur dioxide and sulphites.

An allergen notice is provided with every order and it is your responsibility to ensure visibility of these notices upon serving our food.

THE BOARD CATERING COMPANY S.L. is not responsible for any adverse reactions to our food if we have not been forewarned of any allergies or dietary requirements in the booking process.


9. LIMITS OF LIABILITY

We are not responsible for damages or losses due to the food served, including health issues. By eating our food, you accept these risks.

Quality Assurance: Our products are prepared in a fully licensed, professional kitchen. Following all legal regulations and guidelines in the process. Our guarantee is that it meets EU and Spanish food standards.

A food safety notice, on how to take care of your order, is provided with every order and it is your responsibility to ensure you follow these guidelines. Dispose of food if kept unrefrigerated beyond 4 hours.


10. GOVERNING LAW

These T&Cs are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes will be resolved under Spanish jurisdiction.

12. CHANGES TO OUR GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Customers with active orders will be notified of significant changes via email.

THESE CURRENT T&CS APPLY TO ALL ORDERS AS OF 04/06/2024. All versions of our T&Cs are stored and dated. Please write to us if you require a previous version.


13. MEDIA

Use of Images: Unless requested otherwise, we reserve the right to use images taken at events on our social media platforms.

Use of Customer Logos: Unless otherwise stated, we assume that you approve our use of your company logo on public platforms, such as on our website.


14. ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT SECTIONS

Seasonal Produce & Supplier Availability: Produce and garnishes are subject to availability and substitutions.

Type of Service: We do not offer full-service catering. You are responsible for providing an adequate surface for setup. As we are not a full-service caterer, we therefore do not provide the following services (unless confirmed in writing on an event invoice):

  • Tables
  • Tablecloths
  • Wine bottle openers
  • Ice Bucket
  • Ice
  • Wait staff
  • Clean up services
  • Or any other services besides what is written explicitly on the invoice.

If you need additional services contact us directly and we will put you in touch with one of our trusted providers.

Staffing: Set-Up services require a team member on-site for a set duration. Additional time billed separately.

Loaned Items: Rental of equipment stated on your order confirmation and invoice. Additional invoices issued for extended rental service.

Rental equipment that is damaged, broken, or not returned to The Board Barcelona will result in a minimum 200,00€ charge and up to the equivalent amount to cover each item’s original cost.

All loaned items will be returned in a timely manner at the time stated on order confirmation and invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.


15. PRIVACY POLICY

We respect your privacy. Personal data collected during the order process is used solely for fulfilling orders and providing customer service.

16. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or other major disruptions.


17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All intellectual property, including logos and images, remains the property of THE BOARD CATERING COMPANY S.L. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

THE BOARD BARCELONA GATHER & GRAZE is a national REGISTERED TRADEMARK in Spain since 2023.

This includes copying or reproducing our product display without purchasing our services.


18. SEVERABILITY

If any part of these T&Cs is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
